Your breathing intensifies, lungs fill with clean air, greenery that sometimes opens way to rock formations, transforming a mountain into a glacier: this is the Val di Sole. And walking through the valley or up to the highest peaks here is like reaching paradise!
The mountain groups of Ortles Cevedale, Adamello Presanella, and the Brenta Dolomites – declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2009 – embrace and silhouette the entire valley with their unmistakable majesty.
Summer is definitely the best time to venture up to high altitudes and breath in fresh mountain air, without the snow that abounds in winter. Of course, winter is still also nothing short of a fairytale, with its copious snowfalls that whiten the landscape, creating a postcard-like scene. But, for hiking, spring and summer are the ideal seasons, where you’ll be enchanted with each step you take, immersed in an awakened nature.
